i’ve had a pretty rough patch since the beginning of summer. things could be worse but as of right now, things aren’t really looking up. i was reading one of my older posts about what i was looking forward to this summer…and i guess a lot of things went awry.
i can’t wait until summer finally reaches its ending point because this has been one of the worst summers i’ve ever had.
although i’ve had a terrible day [so terrible that i drank a very potent long island with my lunch and staggered around the mall for a couple of hours in a half-drunken stupor], my spirits lifted a bit after watching jake play the ukulele. ‘while my guitar gently weeps’ gave me goosebumps.
sorry yundi, looks like you’ve been bumped to number 4.
this weekend was great….all because i finally got to see thomas [who i haven't seen in over a month]. we basically spent the entirety of the weekend eating asian food, since the asian cuisine in dallas sucks. i managed to get tapioca on all 3 days. watermelon is my absolute favorite especially on hot days that make your butt sweat.
friday – consisted of fufu cafe and hanging out with carol/chris. johnnys and then…somewhere in midtown. i didn’t have much fun during the latter part of the evening due to a strange irritation in my right eye.
saturday – more asian food, running errands…we played wii fit at chris’. it’s AWESOME…video games + fitness = genius. i purchased one of those bud light clamato cheladas that carol always buys..i could have sworn it tasted good even though it sounds really bad [imagine carbonated v8...the original v8, not v8 splash] but i guess i thought it was good only because i took one sip of hers…it’s different when you’re trying to down almost 16 ounces of it. it was sheer torture…never again. we ended the night at howl at the moon..and venturing back to chris’ house for some of his terrible homemade taquitos. we thought that there were premade taquitos at his house but got stuck with uncooked potatoes mixed in some egg and sausage. the one time that i was actually glad to have been passed out and missed out on the food.
sunday – my first time at improv comedy. the headlining comedian was jo koy
he’s been on mad tv, comedy central, etc. he was REALLY funny. i could not believe how hard i laughed because he had a very slow start..i was kind of afraid that he’d be a complete let down. i laughed so hard i cried. i definitely recommend him…his one bit on blow jobs and how to stand up for yourself is hilarious.
sigh..now i have to wait another month until i see tmas again. long distance for the lose.
